Alan Ricard Signs

Fullback Alan Ricard signed with the Buffalo Bills, who are trying to bolster a running attack led by Willis McGahee.

Ricard, a five-year veteran, appeared in only two games with Baltimore last season before being placed on injured reserve because of a chronic calf injury.

Craig Nall Out Indefinitely

Buffalo Bills quarterback Craig Nall is out indefinitely after injuring his left hamstring two days ago, a potentially significant setback for a player who was expected to compete for the starting job.

Nall missed a walkthrough at training camp and coach Dick Jauron said it's difficult to determine how much time the quarterback will miss or the severity of the injury.

"We do kind of have to take it day to day, but I wouldn't say it's minor because we know he's going to miss some time," Jauron said.

Nall was hurt in the final 15 minutes of the second of two practices July 29 when he pulled up while scrambling in the backfield during 11-on-11 drills.
